About Robin
Robin Jenner runs Vivid Brush Painting & Decorating in Kingaroy. He quotes each job, works on the tools and is the person you speak to from first call to final walk-through.
Why residential repaints
Robin started Vivid Brush in October 2026 to focus on homes: interior and exterior repaints, finishing after renovations, and refreshing houses before a move or sale. It is work where preparation and care inside someone’s home matter as much as the final coat.
Vivid Brush is deliberately small. Robin plans to grow a crew gradually, and he stays on the job so the standard you discussed is the standard you get. It also means the person who quoted your job is the person who turns up to paint it.
Kingaroy is where he is focusing that work. Most homes in town are stand-alone houses, many extended or repaired over the years, so a typical repaint mixes older painted surfaces with newer ones. Preparing those surfaces so they finish as one is the kind of work he has done for decades.

Robin’s background
More than 25 years in the painting trade, most of it in Brisbane, on homes and commercial properties.
Before starting Vivid Brush, Robin ran Attentive Painting & Decorating, doing interior and exterior repaints, roof painting, commercial work and painting after renovations. The job photos on this site are from that earlier work, and each one is labelled that way.
Those Brisbane jobs covered a wide range of homes: Queenslanders with renovations and additions, a unit in New Farm, a family home in The Gap painted while the owners lived there, a flood-affected lower floor where walls, architraves and cupboards all needed repair and repainting, and a Redlands house with horsehair plaster, uneven walls and wallpaper. The same preparation habits now go into every Vivid Brush quote.
Working on older homes taught him that most of a good finish happens before the first coat: filling and sanding, sealing new plaster, priming bare timber and undercoating strong colours. The patching photo above shows that stage, with the repairs drying before the wall is sanded and painted.

This highset house is one of Robin’s earlier exterior jobs. The screens and doors underneath were primed in red oxide before the finish coats, and the upper weatherboards went from cream to green. It’s a good example of a job with two kinds of surface: timber weatherboards upstairs, and brick, screens and doors below.
What earlier customers said
These reviews were written for Attentive Painting & Decorating, Robin’s previous business in Brisbane. They describe his earlier work there, not Vivid Brush jobs. Some have been shortened. Reviews from Kingaroy customers will be added as Vivid Brush jobs are completed.
Our home is a Queenslander with an extensive renovation and addition; the Attentive team have just repainted it and the finished product is sensational. The job done was perfect, but how they did it was equally impressive: turned up when they said they would, really pleasant guys to have around the house while they were there, never imposed themselves on the normal running of the household, cleaned up after themselves and left no mess. Not one problem at any time.
Robin has just painted our unit in New Farm. It has been a pleasure dealing with him; the work was finished in a very short time for a very reasonable price. He was recommended by a friend who was also very pleased with the work completed.
Thanks for your excellent work in painting the inside of our house. It all looks lovely and while a home invasion lasting a week can’t be anything but disruptive, we really appreciated that the guys were very pleasant to have around… always courteous, helpful and willing to fit in with our routines. They made the whole experience as easy as possible for us.
Sometimes you just want to deal with a tradesperson who solves problems - someone who is reliable, punctual, friendly and produces an A1 quality of finish. Robin and his team have recently painted our “problem” house in the Redlands. Horsehair plaster, uneven surfaces (an understatement), dark green original paint, and wallpapering were just some of the issues. We were provided cost effective solutions for our “problems”, with an end result which is clean, fresh and contemporary.
